Courtney B. Stein, Esq.
Courtney has been practicing law since 2005. She began her career as a criminal prosecutor in Brooklyn Family Court where she spent the majority of her time in the courtroom conducting arraignments, trials, and dispositions. Courtney was named “Rookie of the Year” for the City of New York, and was a member of the Major Case Unit and the Sex Crimes Prosecution Unit.
In 2008, Courtney transitioned into civil litigation as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York representing New York City agencies in employment discrimination matters. Courtney gained tremendous courtroom and litigation experience while working for the City.
Subsequently, Courtney has worked at two Connecticut-based law firms specializing in employment law counseling and litigation, both management and employee side.
Courtney founded and runs a networking group for female lawyers in Fairfield County. The group is currently well over 100 members and growing. Once a quarter (or more), she organizes events for the attorneys to network, learn, and socialize. The group provides continuing education, mutual support, and empowerment for its members.
In 2018, Courtney started her own firm, CBS Law, PLLC, specializing in employment law counseling.
